Mitral Stenosis

This is doctor Julie health Meyer with our opening anesthesia intraoperative T. E. case of the month for July 2013. Each month we feature an operative case which teachers or emphasizes an important aspect of basic entropic of T. E.. Our patient this month is a 79 year old woman with a past medical history rheumatic heart disease with mitral stenosis and mitral regurgitation. She had a mitral commissioner I mean in the 19 seventies and balloon valvular plasti 5 years ago. She also has a true for Billy shin hypertension. Hyper cholesterol Limia mild interstitial lung disease and a permanent pacemaker for complete heart block. Complains of severe dismay at rest and she is unable to perform simple activities of daily living such as toileting in transferring from the chair to the bed and as such has become completely sedentary.
