Aortic dissection: Elephant Trunk Procedure

This is doctor Julie health Meyer with our open the anesthesia inter operative T. E. case of the month for August 2017. Each month we feature an operative case which teaches or emphasizes an important aspect of basic intraoperative T. E.. Our patient this month as a 35 year old man with connective tissue disorder hypertension and a previous acute type a aortic dissection. That was repaired with an ace sending erotic graft reconstruction under hypothermic circulatory arrests. He presented to the hospital with fatigue and weakness in his work up was concerning for residual chronic dissection of the aorta in the transverse aortic arch to the descending aorta. It's pre operative transgress Google cardiogram showed normal left and right ventricular function and mild aortic regurgitation.
