Australia managed to evacuate many – but not all those owed protection. The crisis dominated the government's focus behind the scenes. But on the floor of parliament – it was a domestic focus on the pathway out of lockdowns. Prime Minister insists plans to re-open must proceed – despite record case numbers. The COVID-free states – however – aren't so sure.
