times of uncertainty So what is new moon yoga? This is a good question! How do the moon phases relate to our yoga practice? When we align our yoga practice with the phases of the moon we can bring awareness to the ebbing and flowing energy that is within us and all around us in nature. Just as the moon waxes and wanes, so too does our energy. When we align our practice with that waxing and waning energy then we are in harmony with the flow of energy rather than fighting against it. The new moon is a time of darkness when we are asked to turn inwards to our own wisdom. Traditionally it has been a time of intention setting. With all the uncertainty of covid-19 in our world right now, I have been talking to my members a lot about intention, especially since it was our theme for last month. One of our big take aways in March was to let go of Big I intentions for our life and Big V visions for our life especially during a time when the new few months are so unclear.
