The Government latest package of drought support measures includes interest-free loans to farmers and small businesses reliant on agriculture, support for schools, local councils and farm households. It also will sell 100 gigalitres of water from South Australia's desalination plant at heavily discounted prices to generate fodder that can be sold across rural areas. But will it be enough to get rural Australia through one of the most severe droughts in memory?
