This is doctor Julie huffed Meyer with our opening anesthesia intro operative T. E. E. case of the month for April 2017. Each month we feature an operative case which teachers or emphasizes an important aspect of basic intra operative T. E.. Our patient this month is a 65 year old woman who had a history of shortness of breath. Mild congestive heart failure with Iraq management hypertension diabetes mellitus an intro for pollution on coumadin. Echo choreography revealed moderately severe mitral regurgitation a large atrial septal defect. Left ventricular ejection fraction 40 to 45 percent and moderate pulmonary hypertension. A cardiac catheterization workup for surgery revealed normal coronary arteries.
