Heart Transplant, Part I: HVAD

This is doctor Julie Huff Meyer with our open anesthesia intra operative T. E. case of the month for July 2016. Each month we feature an operative case which teaches or emphasizes an important aspect of basic intraoperative T. E.. Our patient this month is a 50 year old man with a history of non ischemic cardiomyopathy that have been diagnosed several years earlier. It's past medical history also included each referred relation congestive heart failure chronic kidney disease and mild pulmonary hypertension. He underwent hurt where left ventricular assist device or each bad placement 2 years prior to the submission. He presented to the operating room for each bad X. plant and or the topic heart transplant. This will be a 2 part podcast in this month we will review the pre transplant T. E. for our patient.
