published 1 week ago by KSL Newsradio

Michael Pickett, a Supervisory Special Agent with the FBI's Salt Lake City Division, joins FBI Confidential host Debbie Dujanovic to discuss white collar crime. Pickett heads a unit dedicated to this type of crime. He explains the types of crime that constitute white collar as "anything to do with money." In the episode an elderly couple and a former police officer from Utah tell their stories of becoming fraud victims. We hear the word Ponzi Scheme all the time, but how many of us really understand what it is? Pickett breaks it down for listeners and gives the warning that it can happen to anyone. Pickett gives some advice to listeners about what to look for when looking to invest. You can sign up for the next round of the FBI Citizens' Academy in Salt Lake City.
