Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in cirrhosis

This is doctor Amanda Kleiman with the open Anastasia and drop out of T. case of the month for January 2016. Each month we feature an operative case which teaches or emphasizes an important aspect of basic and drop out of T. E.. Our patient as a 51 year old man with a history of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy as well as moderate mitral regurgitation. He was diagnosed after developing some mild shortness of breath and was placed on natal all buys cardiologists. The symptoms were well controlled however he subsequently developed Crips deluxe cirrhosis complicated by esophageal varices requiring banding as well significant size.
