Bicuspid aortic valve

This is doctor Julie Huff Meyer with our open anesthesia intraoperative T. E. case of the month for October 2015. Each month we feature an operative case which teaches or emphasizes an important aspect of basic intraoperative T. E.. Our patient this month is a 50 year old man who sustained a traumatic accident with that incidental finding on his trauma work up of a 5.6 centimeter a sending aortic aneurysm. After recovering from his initial trauma he elected to proceed with a sending aortic reconstruction. Pre operative evaluation included a trance or ask echocardiogram which revealed a bicuspid aortic valve without stenosis or regurgitation. This month we will review by cuspidata arctic valve disease.
