Victor Rivera is an United States Air Force veteran and the creator of the "Battle Buddy" keychain. He was medically retired in 2012 after being diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma. After undergoing chemotherapy and treatments for his lymphoma, Victor started making paracord bracelets with the authentic military uniform button. He gave these bracelets out to nurses and other patients. The bracelets eventually evolved into a paracord person key chain now known as the "Battle Buddy." Making these bracelets and keychains is now a form of therapy for Victor. He says it seems to be the only way he can forget his pain.
